These are website terms of use of BlackBox Conferences, a non-registered company referred to here-in as "we" or "us".
This page tells you everything you need to know for when you visit our website. By visiting us on our website, you accept these terms completely. Our Privacy and Cookies Policy will also apply to your use of our website, so you should read this too. Sometimes we might update these terms from time to time and so you should come back regularly as any updates will apply to you when you visit our website.
Conference Registration and Tickets
You may purchase conference tickets from our website. These tickets shall be sold at the price advertised on our website at the time of purchase.
When you purchase a ticket, you will be asked to accept these terms. By making payment, you agree that these terms apply and a legal contract is formed between you and us.
Refund Policy
Please note the following refund conditions:
Early Bird discounted tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Full-price tickets may be refunded within 14 days of purchase only.
No refunds will be issued after the 14-day period for any reason.
If the conference is cancelled or postponed, we reserve the right to offer a transfer to a future event rather than a refund.
Conference Attendance
By purchasing a ticket and attending our conference, you agree to:
Follow all venue rules and regulations
Behave in a professional manner
Respect the privacy and comfort of other attendees
Not record or livestream sessions without prior permission
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who violates these conditions without refund.
Intellectual property rights
We're the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights on our website and all "content" posted onto it. The content is protected by copyright.
You're allowed to stream or download one copy of the content onto your personal device. By using our website, you agree that you will:
Not rent, lease, sub-license, loan or otherwise make our content available to any person without our prior consent;
Not copy our content, except as part of the normal use of the content;
Not translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify our content, nor allow our content to be incorporated into other programmes;
Not disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works from our content; and

We retain ownership of all conference materials, presentations, and resources provided to attendees. When you register, we provide you with a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to use these materials for personal, non-commercial purposes.
No text or data mining, or web scraping
You must not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to our website or any services provided via, or in relation to, our website. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):
Any "robot", "bot", "spider", "scraper" or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of the website or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information which includes but isn't limited to patterns, trends and correlations.
The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).
This clause shall not apply insofar as (but only to the extent that) we are unable to exclude or limit text or data mining or web scraping activity by contract under the laws which are applicable to us.
Conference Photography and Recording
By attending our conference, you acknowledge that photography, audio, and video recording may occur. These recordings may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify our staff at the registration desk.
Visiting our website
You're granted temporary permission to use our website, but we can withdraw or change our website any time without telling you and without being legally responsible to you.
If you let anyone else use our website, make sure they read these terms first and that they follow them. If you view our website on someone else's device, it's your responsibility to ensure you have their permission. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the price you have paid for a ticket.

We use our reasonable skill and care to ensure that our website is secure and free from viruses and malware. That being said, we don't guarantee that this is the case. You're responsible for protecting your hardware, software, data, and other material from viruses, malware, and other internet security risks.
You must not deliberately introduce viruses or other malware, or any other material which is malicious or technologically harmful either to or via our website. You also must not try to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website, the server on which our website is stored, or any other server, computer, or database connected to our website. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to: natural disaster, pandemic, government action, war, civil unrest, riot, terrorist attack, transportation issues, labour disputes, or venue or supplier failure.
In the event that a conference must be cancelled due to force majeure, we may offer ticket transfers to future events rather than refunds.
Data protection
We comply with applicable data protection legislation, including the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulations (2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will only use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
Communications from us
If we have your contact details, we might send you important notices by email from time to time, such as about changes to our website, conference details, or to these terms.
We won't send you marketing emails without your express consent. If you do give us your consent, you can opt out at any time as our marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.
Applicable law
If there is a dispute arising out of these terms, the English courts will exclusively deal with it. English law applies to these terms.
